Phuket has endless sea life and mesmerizingly clean shores that never go unnoticed, even in the southern Thai islands.Located just below Bangkok, it is made up of 512 square kilometers with a width stretching from 22 to 27 kilometers long.
The nicest sandy beaches are on the west coast, including Patong, Karon, Kata, Kamala and Bangtao – but there are still peaceful ones in northern parts: Naithon, Maikhao and Haad Sai Beach.Mangroves cover much of eastern shores except for a few hidden ones such as Ao Yon Beach; it looks over towards other nearby islands when looking from this side.At night there are lots of nightclubs around almost every beach – from Patong to Kata to Karon – so you never know what mood you will find yourself getting into next! 2 am seems to be closing time at most bars but sometimes they go later depending on how busy they are.
