Kenya

Kenya
For centuries, Arabian and Asian traders have entered the continent through its Indian Ocean coast. Those beaches, which are among the best in Africa, can be found along that coast.
As the “cradle of humanity”, Kenya’s landscapes are some of the most diverse and dramatic on the continent. Known for its striking wildlife bounding across acacia-studded savannah of game parks, such as Amboseli, the Masai Mara, Samburu and Tsavo, Kenya is a safari-fanatic’s dream; it is home to vast national parks and reserves covering a tenth of Kenya’s land. In the Masai Mara game reserve, the annual wildebeest migration is one of the most amazing wildlife spectacles in the world. There are literally millions of these ungainly creatures trying to cross the Mara River and escape hungry crocodiles. For the rest of your life, you will remember the sight and sound of this incredible event.
Lamu

Lamu
Lamu is a truly unique place, a peaceful tropical island where life is lived at its own relaxed rhythm, but a place at the same time has a deeply mysterious and fascinating history as the winding streets of its medieval stone town.
You will find rolling dunes, endless beaches, as well as the presence of tiny fishing villages nestled among coconut trees and mango plantations, dotted with long-sailed dhows (sailboats) made by skilled craftsmen.
However, Lamu’s Old Town is the real attraction of the island. The town of Lamu originated from a Swahili settlement dating back to the 14th century, but the island has also been the site of many diverse influences over the centuries, including Portuguese explorers, Turkish traders, and Omani Arabs. Lamu’s narrow streets haven’t changed much for centuries, and in the markets and squares around the fort, life moves at the same pace it has always done. Lamu Island lacks any vehicular transportation, and donkeys and dhows remain the dominant modes of transportation. Lamu is known for its strong culture built on respect for tradition and customs, which is why it is a strong society built on its respect for the past.
